Director Statement
Have you ever shared a problem with one friend, then another, then another, only to realize that it felt like a single, continuous conversation, shifting merely to reflect the personalities around you? In The Highway, I explore the restless intensity of love through a night drive where friends become passengers in one woman’s unstoppable momentum. The shifting characters, dissolving highway, and dreamlike rhythm reflect my fascination with the fluid nature of perception. The film seeks to capture the quiet inevitability of patterns we cannot escape; the ones that accelerate even as we reach for the brakes.
